The trail runs through the natural park Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac, located near Barcelona and attracting visitors with its historical heritage and rock formations.
We start the route from parking lots, near the small town of Matadepera. The trail is well marked and immediately leads us into a typical dry Catalan forest. The ascent is not too difficult, but steady. Sometimes the forest opens up with panoramic views of the Montserrat massif.

After an hour and a half to two hours of ascent, a Romanesque monastery appears before us, right on the very summit of La Mola. The monastery is a cultural heritage monument; it was once the residence of a community of Benedictine monks. Now it can be visited from 10:00 to 14:00.
On the way back, visiting a restaurant can be a wonderful way to end the hike Can Pobla, located in the building of an old masia. They serve authentic Catalan dishes here, we recommend getting something a la brasa (charcoal-grilled). The restaurant is not marked on the route from Wikiloc, but it's easy to find by following the signs for Can Pobla.
