Terms of Service
Last updated: 22.04.2026
These Terms govern access to the SpainTrails platform and the use of its features. By continuing to use the website, you confirm that you have read and agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Platform and Scope
The platform provides functionality for publishing routes, sharing experiences, adding comments, and user interactions.
If specific features are subject to additional terms, those terms supplement these Terms of Service.
2. Registration and Account Access
You must provide accurate information, protect access to your account, and keep your profile information up to date.
You are responsible for actions performed through your account unless otherwise caused by security issues on the platform side.
Use of the platform by minors is permitted only in compliance with applicable law and, where required, with consent from legal representatives.
3. User Content and Rights
You retain rights to content you create, but grant the platform a non-exclusive license to store, display, technically process, moderate, and distribute that content within the service.
By publishing materials, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to text, photos, videos, and other elements, as well as any required third-party consents.
- Content must not infringe copyrights, related rights, personal rights, or other rights of third parties.
- Publishing illegal, offensive, fraudulent, or misleading content is prohibited.
- Encouraging violations of access rules for private property, protected zones, or local restrictions is prohibited.
4. Route Safety and Disclaimer
Route information on the platform is published by users and is provided "as is." The platform does not guarantee route safety, accuracy, passability, or legal accessibility.
SpainTrails is not a tour operator, guide service, or official navigation service. You are solely responsible for assessing risks, physical readiness, weather conditions, and local legal requirements.
5. Moderation and Enforcement Measures
The platform may restrict access to materials or an account if there are grounds to believe that service rules, third-party rights, or applicable law have been violated.
We may remove or hide content that creates risks for other users or breaches mandatory requirements.
6. Third-Party Services and Authentication
Certain features may use third-party services, including authentication through Google, Facebook, and Telegram.
By using such sign-in methods, you also agree to the terms and policies of the relevant providers regarding their own data processing and authentication.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable Spanish and EU law, the platform is not liable for indirect damages related to the use of user content or external services.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or other non-waivable legal guarantees.
The user agrees to indemnify the platform for losses caused by the user's breach of these Terms, unlawful content, or infringement of third-party rights.
8. Changes to Terms and Governing Law
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The current version is published on this page with a new effective date.
These Terms are governed by Applicable law is the law of Spain, subject to mandatory EU law; disputes are heard in the courts of Barcelona unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise. For service inquiries, contact support@spaintrails.es.
The Terms are drafted in accordance with applicable Spanish and EU law, including LSSI-CE and mandatory consumer protection provisions.
9. Important Note on Future Paid Features
At the time of this version, paid subscriptions and paid features are not part of the active public functionality.
When subscriptions are launched, this document will be updated with sections on pricing, renewals, refunds, payment providers, and consumer rights.
