Route description

The start of the route is located in a small Catalan town L'Abroç, surrounded by vineyards. The proposed trail is a section of the national route GR-92, marked with white-and-red stripes. So, what will you see on the route:

  • Catalan vineyards

  • Foix Natural Park (Parc del Foix) with olive groves, forest and a reservoir.

  • The Фойш Reservoir is an ornithological reserve, serving as a refuge for migratory species. Bring binoculars :)

  • Medieval castle Castell de Castellet. The building was constructed in the year 977 as a defensive stronghold and a residence of wealthy families of that time. In 1928 the castle underwent reconstruction, and now they even hold tours there on the second weekend of every month. (online booking required). The building itself impresses with its scale and the views that open up from the observation deck.

  • Виланова и Ла Желтру - a peaceful coastal city with a wide beach and various cafes with sea views.
