Route description
A good option for a pleasant walk along of the Mediterranean Sea. The route begins in the charming coastal town of Sitges, known for its narrow streets and whitewashed houses.
The trail runs along the city embankment, where You can admire the churches of San-Bartolomeo and Santa-Tecla and listen to street performers.
Following the embankment, you will leave the city into Garraf Natural Park. Here you can enjoy the view of the sea, the cliffs, Sitges, and vegetation typical of the area.


After passing through the park the trail again comes out to the shore in the city Vilanova i la Geltrú, where after a walk you can relax in a café, without losing sight of the sea views.
HOW TO GET FROM BARCELONA?
By train
Take the commuter train train R2S (Rodalies de Catalunya) from the station Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gràcia or Estació de França. The train takes about 35 minutes, arrives right in the center of Sitges. From the station to the starting point of the route, the church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, it's only a 10–15 minute walk.
By car:
Take the toll road C-32 (approximately 30 minutes en route) or the toll-free but winding road along the coast (C-31).
RECOMMENDATIONS
Walking through the natural park Гарраф, You will encounter many small wild beaches, to which you can descend along the cliffs. It is worth adding, that these beaches enjoy great popularity among nudists during the hot season! While walking this picturesque route, be sure to take with you swimsuit — The Mediterranean Sea will constantly beckon you to bathe in its azure waters. However don't forget about quality hiking footwear: in places the trail becomes rocky and requires sure footing.
