Route description

The perfect combination of sea scenery, moderate exertion, and the opportunity to swim in the Mediterranean Sea.

This trail is part of the famous Cami de Ronda. The route is suitable for a one-day hike with children and is accessible by public transport.

Palamós -  Platja d’Aro
We start in the fishing town of Palamós, which can be reached by a Moventis bus. The road along the wide beach leads to the neighboring resort town of Sant Antoni de Calonge with a wide, well-kept promenade and numerous bars.

Then the most picturesque part of the route begins: the path runs along the cliffs, from which you can descend into secluded coves (calas) and simply enjoy the scenery. On this stretch there are many descents and climbs by stairs!

Platja d’Aro - Sant Feliu de Guíxols

After Platja d’Aro begins the most civilized part of the route. All the way to the route's final point, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, an elegant stone path will lead you, of course, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Recommendations

  • the best time for a hike - spring or autumn

  • don't forget sunscreen - throughout the entire route there's almost nowhere to hide from the sun;

  • start the hike, as early as possible, to avoid the midday heat;

    don't forget your swimsuit and water 🙂

  • take a dip on a wild beach

How to get there

By public transport: carrier Moventis offers numerous daily flights to various towns on the Costa Brava.

By car: The trip from Barcelona will take about 1.5 hours (120km), however you'll have to return to the parking spot by bus.
